Children's rights to education emphasised STAFF CORRESPONDENT, RAJSHAHI July 9: Speakers at a seminar laid emphasis on the rights of the children to receive education to have their places in the society. They said that the best way of educating the children is to make their mothers educated and self-reliant for the fact that the women of the poor families for their engrossment in household chores can hardly contribute to the education of their children. They said that poor women could be made self-reliant through different means to enable them to take measures for the education of their children. They were speaking at the day-long workshop on 'Children's Rights: Bangladesh Perspectives' held at the conference room of Barind Unnayan Forum on July 8. Kannya Shishu Advocacy Forum, Rajshahi in collaboration with The Hunger Project, Bangladesh organised the workshop.
